The Bushey ButterMoth.

Sometimes you wonder about Nature, the turns and the curves it can take, but also the way it can shape itself with or without Humans. It is a wild wild world out there, even just in your Garden. Darwin observed a square little plot of one metre on all sides to help him with the theory of evolution. Because matter does move and change. Ice becomes water and vice versa depending on the conditions. As the transformation happens a lots more does happen in consequences. It is like a Domino effect. It is like the wings of a Butterfly...

Butterfly courtship.JPG

A first of January butterfly courtship a few years ago upon our garden decking. It was beautiful especially since we were hungover from the night before. We never knew what to expect in front of our office's windows. But we did capture the moment for we were quite startled by it all.

During this month June 2023 we did notice a Butterfly which did look like a Moth and vice versa. It did live during the day but also the night. It was a very odd little one with a wing's span of 2 cm across. The wings were of a dusty blue colour but on the top they were beige. We didn't see any mating this time around. But we think we saw the outcome of something. It does look like at first glance as a moth, but it could be as well a small dusty Butterfly or an urban Blue Butterfly. This is a question which I have left up in the air. Just a wonder, just a wonder, do we have a Bushey Buttermoth?

I will call it the Bushey Blue Buttermoth for now. Until I know better.

During Mystery Hour of James O'Brien on LBC, I tried to get the answer.
