Orange Marmalade with Stem Ginger and Grand Marnier.

Winter is the time of the year when you carry on making preserves but also when you start opening them and enjoying them just as well. The door of Autumn is closed but the reward of it is still to be had. It is the time when long sleeves are in order, when a puff jacket is useful and when hat, gloves and scarf are helpful.

In the Kitchen it is comfort food all the way. Of course we will start with Breakfast and Jams. In Autumn already Jams are being made with the Summer and Autumn's Harvest. With the capacity we have nowadays to import Fruits and Vegetables in all Seasons this have changed, however with Brexit this will change again with Fruits and Veg rotting in fields not being picked up. Sad.

Anyhow speaking of Jams and Marmalade in particular, they do have that comforting feeling about them.
