Christmas Knick Knack Box recycled by Myself to be useful again.

15 December 2021,

Earlier this month I received a lovely present of Soup Bowls by someone who knew I had difficulty eating at the moment: mainly it is liquid that I can ingest, so Soups, but I can cope with Purées, Minced Meat, small soft Vegetables, and very small tiny cut Meat, but best is flaky Fish and Eggs for proteins. It is highly reductive in terms of having to reduce what you eat to soft food or liquid Food. But that is called being very unwell, I guess. However I do manage it or try to manage it at the best of time.

But that present of small Soup Bowls was so nice and showed so much consideration that it felt like a blessing in disguise. I liked them as soon as I saw them.

My new Soup Bowls. Aren't they just pretty? I am very fond of blue and white porcelain.

Somehow it was such a pleasure to open that box thus, that I could not part with that box so it was recycled to become my box with all its four compartements for keeping the ribbons for Christmas presents, the Rosettes, the Tags and the pretty Cords. I decorated it today, as all my presents were done but two which I have to send later due to Brexit and the insane amount of paperworks which has to be done. I am glad we managed to deliver all of the others abroad and here in England. Apparently import and export will become even worst on the first of January... Things can only get worst with BJ who can't answer any question apart repeating his same slogans and lies over and over again in the house of parliement. He sticks to tag lines like a wild Hare (wild Hair) caught in red lights Left, Right and center. Anyhow enough about England politics who wanted to be just an Island, Insular, apart from the rest deregulating everything in order to abuse their own population and deprive them to whatever safety net they had.

So to return at my box which I did receive before the dead line of more struggles to get anything from around the world, it arrived A/ intact and in piece despite containing Porcelain. So I decorated it in order to re-use all my what I call leftover Knick knack for decorations of presents. I just made a drawing of a Christmas tree upon it to remind us that it was a Gift Box useful for Festivities.

At least the simple Drawing will remind us about what is inside for many Christmas to come.

Festivities are a season to give and to love but also does remind us especially during this pandemic that no one is eternal and to show them love when we can. I say that because the last time I went to hospital I saw two bodies being deported to the morgue on the very same trolley ( lack of trolleys) but they were not even covered up. The feet of one were beside the head of the other. It did remind me of the drastic painted pictures we saw in history books describing the plague... I had a major seizure earlier that day so I needed to stay as much as I can in hospital but all I wanted after that sight was to go home as soon as I was better. But let's not talk about the tragedy that is unfolding in front of our eyes. Lets speak about the little tokens of love and appreciation we can give to someone when they are alive even if we must stay apart in order to have a level of safety. A gift can be words of comfort, it can be knowing what someone would enjoy right at this moment in time.
