A Selection of Roes

Roe is a well sought after Food mainly used upon Canapés but also as tasty salty garnish upon Main Meals. There is all sort of Roes being relished upon such as the Caviar which is lets just say the bee's knees for a long time and for due reasons: the quality, rarity and provenance of the Roe. The Beluga Sturgeon which produces Caviar however is an endangered species: Food for thought.

But most of us do settle for the less expensive Lumpfish Roe. The Lumpfish can be found in North parts of the Globe: North Pacific, North Atlantic and the Artic. The Lumpfish may have landed to many Cocktail Parties Canapés in one form or another even upon a Bruschetta.

Another Roe which is popular is the Salmon one. We know already that Salmon is a popular Fish so why its Roe should not be for it is rather sweet and colourful. Salmon Roe is also bigger than a lot of Roes used for Canapés. There is something a little Bling Bling about it but it is very nice. Same as Lumpfish and Caviar, it can be used for a Main Dish decoration, a Starter or a Fish one as well.
