We have a fair few squirrels in our garden. We do feed them large bags of peanuts and when it is the season hazelnuts as well. They also love sunflower hearts. Peanut is our oldest squirrel and very friendly.  He is mainly grey. Hazelnut is a young female which is more red than the others. She tends to play with Spock a young male who has ears half red and half white. Their antics to get to the food, bird's one or theirs is quite hilarious to watch. The acrobatics on display always take our attention away from our work. Not only that there is the hiding of the nuts and the forgetting of where they did hide them. We do end up with lots of sunflowers randomly growing anywhere in the garden. But as we love sunflowers, it doesn't bother us.
