Baby Robin, April 2022.

I regard to have a little Robin in the Garden as more than a pleasure. Over the decade we had a few and the most renown was Mr Plumpy. The little Bird was plumply and ever so inquisitive. He lasted for about 7 years, a grand old age for such a little Bird. Mr Plumpy was ever so territorial. No other Robins could come into our Garden for it was Plumpy's neck of the Wood.

Mr Plumpy. Early years.

Nowadays we can count abount 4 Robins in our trees. They do not fight amongst one another. They were born here and are descendants of Mr Plumpy. The Garden is their territory.

Robins are very inquisitive and intelligent little birds. They do respond to the food call. I will say they come within minutes of it. They know when they can trust a human.

A Robin is never left starving in our neck of the wood. Rain or shine or snow, they are fed.
